Synopsis by Tracy Weisert
Since I am such a big fan of Wendy Haines’ Goals & Success coaching work, I asked for assistance to write about this month’s article as I could not be objective. It is also a challenge to put what Wendy does in her workshops on paper.
I first met Wendy when she was our guest speaker at our well attended Casting Networks seminar three years ago. I was eager to learn more, so I took her all day, very interactive and inspiring IGNITE YOUR CAREER intensivetwice and had a ball! I also learned quite a bit and it has up leveled my professional acting career. The experience was immeasurable, and prosperity-wise, it was measurable! This past month’s seminar was equally rewarding and fun! Since I am biased, I asked three of our LA Casting members to write oftheir experiences.
Jamie Dean Lugar wrote-
“Wendy Haines is a wondrous speaker with a glowing personality. I have studied self help, goal setting, self improvement, and personal achievement for decades. I have seen and I am living the fruits of those seeds.
Wendy has it, and she gives it to all those who attend her seminars. She starts to make these universal principles happen for everyone at her presentations right then and there, as well as giving people the rudder to their boat to help them maneuver through their life in the prosperous ways that they want.
She is a ‘must experience’ speaker for everyone determined to live their life to the fullest.”
Victor DeLucie said-
“I’m a new L.A. arrival and someone who is less than familiar with the entire process. Wendy Haines has shown me she has a unique capacity to tune out the noise and focus on what matters. Regarding the importance of laser-like focus and execution, as a cancer survivor, she describes the experience taught her vigilance and persistence and that tends to provide results. Judgments and opinions may be useful but aren’t to be taken personally and are subject to change. The ‘failures’ along the way are learning opportunities. Fortunately, I didn’t have to go through a life threatening experience to learn from Wendy.”
Elizabeth Lambert said-
“I attended Wendy’s one day workshop on a friend’s recommendation and showed up that day full of doubt and regret. Cursing the name of the person who had talked me into giving up a Sunday…moaning and groaning all the way to the studio! But then, you see Wendy.. full of light and energy…(even @7 months pregnant!) And you think, maybe this woman really is the ‘real deal’. The day flew by and everyone was very supportive and positive…and we never even had to sing ‘Kum ba ya’! But the day after the workshop…it was as if the universe suddenly woke up. The phone started ringing off the hook…first a meeting for a major film, then, a booking for something I had auditioned for weeks before and had totally written off. Then the best part….when I went in to pay my AFTRA dues to do the job….they proceeded to inform me that they were holding 3000 dollars for me…in residuals!! Wendy Haines’ work is truly magical!!”
One of my favorite quotes that Wendy shared at our seminar is, “The great danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it” by Michelangelo.
For me, that pretty much summed up the empowering philosophy, goal setting and tangible solutions I have learned from Wendy. She has another all day Goals & Success workshop in November. Check it out! It would be a great and energizing springboard into pilot season! WWW.WENDYHAINES.COM See you on set!
