Banoffee Pie
Simply put, Banoffee is what you get from combining the words Banana and Toffee–that’s also all that you really need for this recipe. This recipe comes straight from my mom that I’ve kept for years–here we goooooo: Ingredients:
Package of cinnamon graham crackers (crumbled)
Most of a stick of margarine or butter melted
1 can of Dulce de Leche
2 or 3 bananas sliced (1/4″ thick, coinsized)
1 pint whipped cream
1 pie pan
Directions:
Mix the crumbled graham crackers and melted butter together and press into a pie pan. Spread a can of Dulce de Leche on top. Slice 2 or 3 bananas and put on top. Top with firmly whipped cream (1 pint).
And that’s it. Store it in the fridge or dig right in.
Banoffee Health Tip: You can use low-fat/non-fat
whipped cream, but I have not tried this myself as
I very much enjoy the taste of yummmmmy
deliciousness over calorie-saving techniques when
it comes to desserts.
